Scandinavian Heritage Park

1020 S Broadway
Minot, ND 58702
(701) 852-9161

Description:

The Scandinavian Heritage Association began in 1989, to pay tribute to the histories and traditions of Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, and Iceland: the five Scandinavian countries. Essentially a scenic park, it recreates many elements from the "old country," including natural occurences like clear, rippling streams and majestic fjords; and also human constructs like a statue of the great Norweigan skier Casper Oimoen, a statue of Hans Christian Andersen, and a Finnish sauna. The Association lies downtown, just west of Rosehill Cemetery.

Hours of Operation:

Memorial Day - Labor Day: Mon. - Fri. 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., Sat. 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Sun. 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.; Rest of year: Mon. - Fri. 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
